Vehicle-to-everything Communication Technologies for Smart Cars

Abstract:
Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology is one of the basic elements of connected and autonomous driving vehicles. The wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE) standard has been recently established for V2X services. In this talk we will introduce the WAVE standard. In addition, we will present our experience from the WAVE pilot test done in South Korea, and service examples for connected intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS). Finally, the future technology trend will be discussed on V2X and connected vehicles.
