The period for enrolment under the criteria for transfer between programmes takes place in accordance with the regular conditions for enrollment at higher education institutions via the eVŠ portal:
- for students of undergraduate study programs, registration is open from September 1 to September 16, 2024,
- for students of master's study programs, registration is open from 1 June to 31 August 2024.
Candidates for enrolment under the criteria for transfer between programmes should submit an electronic application on the eVŠ website. In the application the candidate should mention one study programme for which they meet the conditions for enrolment under the criteria for transfer between programmes. The application method and application deadlines are published in the introductory section of the call for enrolment under point ‘XIII Application for enrolment in a subsequent year of study (under the criteria for transfer or the conditions applying to accelerated progression)’.
Regardless of the method of submission (using an electronic identity, such as a digital certificate, AAI account or single-use smsPASS password, or using a username and password), candidates are not required to send application documentation by post. An electronic application via the eVŠ portal shall be sufficient. After the application has been submitted, the applicant receives an email at the address given in the enrolment application (notice of successful submission of an enrolment application).
Transfer between different study programmes
In accordance with the Criteria for Transferring Between Programmes, transfer is possible from study programmes that confer similar skills and competencies upon completion and that enable the recognition of at least half of the requirements under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) from the first study programme relating to compulsory courses from the second study programme. Transfer from other programmes is possible after the first year of study.
Continuing studies after a break of more than two years
Students who have been without student status for more than two years must first submit a request to continue their studies after a break of more than two years via the STUDIS academic information system.
An exception applies to those students who wish to submit an application to continue or complete their studies and who have never been processed in the STUDIS academic information system. In that case, the student should submit a request to continue or complete their studies using the form available on the website. The request should be submitted by registered mail to the Student Affairs Office, which will grant the right to enrol in the STUDIS academic information system and, if necessary, arrange the student’s digital identity.
Continuing study under the criteria for transfer between programmes
In accordance with the call for the continuation of study under the criteria for transfers between programmes, the Faculty of Computer and Information Science enables enrolment in the third year of full-time study for students of old study programmes who have already used up all the options for regular enrolment and who are able to complete their studies only through transition to the third year of part-time study in first-cycle Bologna programmes. The condition for transition to the third year of a first-cycle study programme is the completion of all first-year requirements (60 credits) and at least 53 credits from the second year of the old study programme.
Candidates who have already repeated a year or changed their study programme once may apply for full-time study, but will have to pay the prescribed tuition fee in accordance with Article 77 of the Higher Education Act.
On 7 July 2017 the FRI Governing Board adopted a decision to the effect that students who studied on old programmes (UNI-RI, VSŠ-RI, IŠRM) that had been converted into Bologna study programmes (BUN-RI, BVS-RI and BUN-RM) and who were to enrol in the third year of full-time study would be charged only an amount corresponding to the number of courses that they still had to complete after progression to the third year (i.e. instead of the entire tuition fee of EUR 5,500), along with the cost of the undergraduate dissertation and defence (EUR 509 for BVS-RI and EUR 637.40 for BUN-RI and BUN-RM).
Tuition fees for the year must be paid in full before enrolment.
