SenatE
The Senate is the highest professional body of the Faculty. It addresses and decides on issues in the fields of research, development and education, and proposes to the Senate of the University of Ljubljana the adoption of relevant decisions.
The Senate of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science has 15 members, of whom 12 are elected from among the teaching staff and 3 members are elected by the FRI Student Council. If they are not elected to the Senate, the vice-deans are not members, but they attend sessions.

The Senate addresses and decides on issues in the fields of research, development and education, and proposes to the Senate of the University the adoption of relevant decisions.
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the FRI Senate, it appoints standing committees and other working bodies.
ACADEMIC ASSEMBLY
The Academic Assembly elects members of the FRI Senate and proposes to the Senate candidates for dean, it deliberates over reports from the Dean and the work of FRI, and offers proposals and initiatives to the Senate. It meets at least once a year.
The Academic Assembly is made up of all teaching staff, scientific workers and associate staff. Student representatives are elected to the Academic Assembly by the Student Council, and their number cannot be less than one fifth of all members of the Academic Assembly.

MANAGEMENT BOARD
The Management Board works to ensure the material operations of the Faculty, wherever the Faculty appears in its own name in legal transactions and on its own behalf conducts educational, research, artistic, developmental, professional and advisory activities that are not a part of implementation of the national programme of higher education and the national research and development programme.
The Management Board has five members from among the higher education teaching staff. Its work also involves the participation of the Dean, Secretary and Assistant Secretary for accounting and financial affairs and a representative of the FRI Student Council, albeit without voting rights.

FRI STUDENT COUNCIL
The Student Council of the Faculty is an independent FRI student body and the sole representative of students within the Faculty structure, providing representation for the opinions and interests of all students at the Faculty.
The FRI Student Council (ŠSFRI) has launched a new website: http://svet.fri.uni-lj.si. The website offers a huge amount of interesting and useful information about studying at FRI.
