The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Artificial Intelligence for Digital Humanities (AI4DH) Era Chair is an ambitious initiative in Slovenia designed to enhance this European regions capacity to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) research into Digital Humanities (DH). Project seeks to establish the University of Ljubljana as the leading institution in Europe for AI applications in DH by creating a CoE that combines top-level AI research with direct engagement and support for DH scholars. The CoE will foster research excellence and provide tailored training and services, thereby increasing the humanities' capacity to leverage the many exciting opportunities offered by AI. The goal of CoE is to attract, support and implement challenging to ensure sustainable funding, enhance the university's research infrastructure, and reverse the regions brain drain by attracting researchers to Slovenia. The AI4DH centre is created under the leadership of Professor Antoine Doucet, also a Professor of Computer Science at La Rochelle Université, France.
