- Description
Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental reading and writing disorder; in reading it manifests with a reduced understanding of the text, in writing it usually presents with misplacing the characters in a word formation. It affects 5-10% of the population and does not correlate with the level of intelligence. It often occurs with attention disorders, dysgraphia, impaired auditory comprehension and coordination disorders.
The aim of the project is to develop a computer system for the early detection of dyslexia and related disorders in primary school children. The system will be based on tracking the child's gaze while reading and task solving.
