• Great Interest in Studying at FRI
News

Information Days for undergraduate studies took place yesterday and today in the new FRI building. The interest shown in the studies by secondary school students, including several female students, was so remarkable that the lecture hall was overcrowded and could not include every single person looking for information about our faculty.

After the Vice Dean for Education’s introductory speech and the presentation of the study programmes, the secondary school students were taken on a tour of the individual laboratory projects that simultaneously took place in different lecture rooms. They were able to put on Oculus (glasses which enable you enter a virtual reality space), try out a multitouch surface, learn about the Parkinsoncheck app, and follow the demonstration of the robotic arm via the process controllers. They also had the opportunity to scan their faces using a 3D scanner. On Friday, the Ptuj Kurents helped spread the festive spirit of Pust and enrich the programme for the visitors.

Enrolment in undergraduate studies will be available until 5 March 2015.  The call for enrolment is published on the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport’s website.
