On Tuesday, 10 April 2018, at 14.15 at lecture hall 20, the delegation of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Kragujevac, Serbia, will present their recent research.


The University of Kragujevac, in Serbia, will present us their research capacities, as well as give a short talk about their recent research, including real world applications in the fields of hydrology and biomedical engineering.

The topics will include:

  1. Large-scale simulation-based optimization
    Višegrad hydropower plant remediation
  2. Near real-time dam health monitoring
    DEVONNA - VERBUND Innovation Challenge 2017 finalist
  3. Hydropower production optimization
    "Iron gate" hydropower plant decision support system
  4. Multi-scale muscle modeling
    Utilizing HPC and machine learning

About the lecturers

The Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Science of the University of Kragujevac was established in 2007 by a small team, who, over time, has been improving and increasing its research possibilities and opportunities. The aim of any research project is to better solve scientific problems and questions, in order to improve and help our society facing real-world problems. The Department is composed by excellent researchers with a lot of experience in dealing with day-to-day problems.
