Time is running out for completing former, pre-reform study programmes. All study obligations must be completed by 30 September 2016.

According to the Higher Education Act, students of pre-reform study programmes can complete their studies, including their thesis defence, by 30 September 2016. After this date, it will only be possible to complete studies as per the new, Bologna study programmes.

Completion of old undergraduate study programmes:

• Submission of thesis topic: no later than 1 March 2016
• Submission of undergraduate thesis: no later than 31 August 2016
• Thesis defence: no later than 30 September 2016

Completion of old master’s study programmes:

• Submission of thesis topic: no later than 1 March 2016
• Submission of master's thesis: no later than 31 August 2016
• Thesis defence: no later than 30 September 2016

Completion of old doctoral study programmes:

• Submission of unbound dissertation copies: no later than 1 February 2016
• Doctoral dissertation defence: no later than 30 September 2016.
