• High Interest in Studying at FRI
News

We have received more student applications for the coming academic year than there are available places at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (FRI). 228 secondary school students put down the university study programme of Computer and Information Science as their first choice for the first application deadline, while an astonishing 295 students applied for the professional study programme.

Both Computer and Information Science programmes only have 150 full-time study enrolment places each, meaning that the number of first-choice university programme applications exceeds the number of available places by 50%, while the number of professional programme applications exceeds availability by almost 100%. High interest is also reflected in the fact that we received more applications than last year: 57 more for the university study programme and 42 more for the professional study programme.

The interdisciplinary study of Multimedia, conducted jointly with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, also received a high number of applications. 70 secondary school students put it down as their first choice, whereas only 30 full-time study places are available.

35 secondary students applied to the interdisciplinary study programme of Computer Science and Mathematics (40 available places, conducted jointly with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics), while 11 students put down as their first choice the interdisciplinary study programme of Administrative Information Systems (20 available places, conducted jointly with the Faculty of Administration).

Detailed information concerning available study programmes and applications are available on the University of Ljubljana website.
