Head of Department for automation, robotics and biocybernetics and later Head of Department of Electronics at Josef Stefan Research Institute (10 years) , vicepresident of Iskra Delta Computers (8 years), vicedean for Research and Development at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Ljubljana (4 years), Dean at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana (4 years),  visiting professor at University of Udine (Italy), Head of Chair for Software at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Ljubljana, Chair of IEEE Slovenia section.

Responsible for many projects devoted to the computer supported simulation and automation of different technological processes. Responsible for many projects related to multimedia and computer literacy. Co-author of SW support of first Slovenian robots, collaborator in the Italian regional educational project "Factories of the future". Member of Program Committee  for computer literacy of Slovenian Ministry of Education and Science.

Present functions:

Head of Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Multimedia. Responsible for several projects in the field of multimedia and related technologies. Coordinator of a project for computer supported education in Slovenian schools.  Senior member of IEEE and Chairman of  CoLoS association, Chair of Slovenian IEEE Computer chapter, member of European Academy of Science.
